Reference example: Production company

A Danish company in the wind turbine industry planned to construct a new production hall to cover the increasing demand in the high-growth market. Moulds for rotor blades up to 60 meters in length should be produced in the new facility and moved with the aid of cranes.

 

The quotation from the HALTEC Export Department with the concept of a triple-bayed Steelflex steel building in modular construction convinced the clients.

Steelflex steel building as triple-bayed production hall

With its individual equipment and a total area of 4,200 m², the steel hall satisfies all the client's requirements and offers the required high level of functionality.

 

At the request of the customer the individual bays of the assembly hall were spatially separated by inner walls. The middle bay is two meters higher than the two outer bays and has an eave height of 12 meters. A cladding of mineral-wool sandwich panels satisfy the applicable fire-safety regulations.

 

In order to move the moulds of the rotor blades, two 10-ton cranes were installed in each bay. The delivery and installation of the six cranes was included in the service package from HALTEC.

 

The complete new construction was concluded after twelve weeks. The high level of customer satisfaction resulted in a follow-on order. HALTEC built an additional production hall for the company. This hall has a total area of 3,100 m² and it was erected adjacent to the existing hall.
