HALTEC manufactures production halls for wind power plants

Once again HALTEC’s Export Department rose to the challenge and from the outset the Danish client liked what he heard when the concept was presented. And so HALTEC Hallensysteme GmbH, one of Europe’s leading suppliers of system halls, industrial tents/temporary structures and event tents, was awarded the contract to build a hall not far from the Danish town of Odense.

The client is actively involved in the environmentally friendly wind power plant industry and requires the new three-aisled hall as a manufacturing building. The entire building has a total area of 4,000 m². The middle aisle, where the eaves are 12 metres high, is 2 metres higher than both outer aisles and has 2 interior walls. This was specified by the client, who wanted separate manufacturing areas for the company’s wind power plant rotor blade designs. And given existing fire prevention regulations, these walls had to be made of mineral wool panels.

The rotor blades to be manufactured in this hall are up to 65 metres long. For this reason two 10-ton cranes were installed in each of the hall aisles in order to be able to move these giant designs. In addition to actual construction of the hall, assembly of the cranes and their delivery to site were components of HALTEC’s performance package.

This hall took three months to install and was completed to the client’s fullest satisfaction. This is another reason why HALTEC has already sewn up a follow-up order from the same client.
